Three-vehicle collision ties up traffic on Interstate 15

CORONA (CNS) – An SUV and two sedans collided Thursday, Nov. 5 on Interstate 15 south of Corona, causing traffic disruptions but no lane closures.

The crash happened about 1:25 p.m. on southbound I-15, just north of Cajalco Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The agency said that a Nissan Murano, Toyota Prius and Nissan sedan impacted in the middle of the freeway, but no other details were available.

The drivers managed to steer to the center divider, out of the way of traffic, leaving debris on the freeway that CHP officers quickly cleared, according to reports from the scene.

One motorist initially complained of pain but did not require an ambulance, according to the Corona Fire Department. No other injuries were reported.

Southbound traffic was slow through the area as fire crews and officers performed their duties.

The exact cause of the crash was under investigation.
