Now playing in online theatres

Online theatre is a bargain. It only requires the purchase of one ticket for the entire family to watch the performance in the comfort of your home.

Currently streaming at San Diego Rep is "JQA" (John Quincy Adams). It is another re-imagined historical play about presidents. This starts with our third president, John Adams, and his 9-year-old son, John Quincy Adams, our sixth president, with focus on the latter and his long political career.

Written by award winning playwright Aaron Posner, "JQA," as cast by Director Sam Woodhouse, is confusing. The four actors, Crystal Lucas-Perry, Jesse Perez, Larry Bates, and Rosina Reynolds play multiple parts, yet the only person correctly portrayed both gender wise and ethnically happens to be Frederick Douglass.

Extended until Nov. 29, "JQA" is available for streaming from San Diego Rep. Visit SDRep.org to view the show through Sunday, Nov. 29. Unfortunately, this production did not live up to expectations. Rated 6 out of 10.

Do not despair. Maestro Hershey Felder as Claude Debussy can be seen via streaming in "A Paris Love Story" Sunday, Nov. 22, at 5 p.m. PST. He never disappoints! One ticket from SDRep.org is good for the entire family.
