Jehovah's Witnesses conduct global campaign

SAN DIEGO – Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world launched an unprecedented global campaign to distribute a special issue of The Watchtower magazine to local residents, businesses and government officials throughout November. With the cover title “What Is God’s Kingdom?” the magazine is offered free of charge in over 300 languages.

Untold billions have petitioned God, “Thy kingdom come,” when reciting what has become known the world over as the Lord’s or the Our Father prayer from Matthew 6:10. Jesus taught his disciples that model prayer nearly 2,000 years ago. The special issue distributed by the Witnesses in November quotes from the Bible and provides scriptural references that identify the kingdom, or government, which Jesus was referring to.

In compliance with COVID-19 safety protocols, Jehovah’s Witnesses are conducting this campaign utilizing electronic communication, written letters and telephone calls. An electronic copy of this special issue is already available on the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses, http://jw.org.

In Fallbrook’s agricultural community throughout November, the four local congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses were placing phone calls and writing letters to the residents, businesses and local government officials. Individuals in this relaxed business community have expressed appreciation for receiving this special issue of the Watchtower.

“An Ethiopian and a Brazilian native were surprised and thankful that Bible-based material and videos are readily available in their language at http://JW.org,” Tim Bevan, an elder in the Fallbrook area, said. “We’ve cast our net wide in our assigned area to reach as many as possible, including over 300 local businesses highlighting the benefits of God’s Kingdom.”

Over 8.6 million Jehovah’s Witnesses actively promote Bible education worldwide in 240 lands. This Christian denomination includes persons from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, including 1.3 million Jehovah’s Witnesses who live in the United States. Their official website, http://jw.org, has information available in over 1,024 languages, including over 100 sign languages.
