First San Diego County child of new year born at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The first child born in San Diego County in 2021 was delivered early Friday, Jan. 1 at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns.

Bruce Hartman from Sharp HealthCare said the first baby born in 2021 was a girl named Delmar Hawke, delivered at 12:05 a.m. to parents Melissa and Nicholas Hawke of San Diego. She was their third child.

Delmar Hawke weighed in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces, Hartman said.
