Firefighters quickly knock down South Mission vegetation fire

North County Firefighters were on the scene of a vegetation fire in the 1700 block of South Mission Road in Fallbrook at approximately 10:45 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15.

It didn't take long for them to halt the spread of the fire to 1/10 of an acre located on the west side of Mission Road, just south of Rocky Peak Road, according to North County Fire Protection District spokesperson Capt. John Choi.

The fire is under investigation.
