Robert Villarreal

On Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, Robert Villarreal, loving son, partner, father, stepfather and grandfather, died at the age of 63 from COVID-19.

Robert was born to the loving parents of Jose and Luz Villarreal. He was raised and lived in Fallbrook with his brothers Fred, Ray (Sal) and sister Esther, where he also raised his son Jose (Beto) Villarreal and daughter Maliza (Meli) Villarreal who he loved more than anything in life.

Robert was kind to all and could never say no. He loved to barbecue, but Robert's true passion was gardening. He loved seeing a beautiful thought grow into a garden, a landscape to be admired by his customers, family and friends. He saw a perfect spot to plant a rose, which we may not have thought so, until it bloomed. Then we saw the perfection of Robert's perfect love for his flowers and his family.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Jose; brother Fred, his daughter Meli. He is survived by his loving mother Luz Villarreal; his love and partner in life Lorraine Bailey; son Beto and daughter-in-law Diana; stepdaughters Nicole Bailey and Jessica Perez; brother Ray, sister-in-law Paula Villarreal; sister Esther and brother-in-law Thomas Hines; grandchildren Mathew Villarreal, Ricky, Mia, Penelope Perez, Sara, Kaile'a, Abraham and Adam Rodriguez; nephew and nieces, Andrew, Liz, Jennifer, Adrianna Villarreal, Sonia Cerda and great- nieces and nephews who he loved.

He will truly be missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.

Graveside services were held at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery Monday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m.

The funeral home is Berry-Bell & Hall, 333 N. Vine St. Fallbrook, CA 92028.
