While the I15 was backed up for miles because of the Deer Fire, May 22, local firefighters and community members were honoring Vista firefighter Andy Valenta on the bridges on the day of his memorial service.
On Saturday, May 23, a memorial service was held for fallen Vista firefighter Andy Valenta who lost his battle with job acquired cancer, according to North County Fire Protection District PIO John Choi.
