The Newcore "Walkabout" hiking group chaired by Pat Bodie on the left. Newcore includes members from Encore and their sister club Newcomers. Each month Pat selects a new spot to enjoy hiking together. This is one of many regular monthly activities.
Fallbrook Encore Club is a social club serving Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow and DeLuz areas and growing all of the time. Monthly Coffee-Meetings have resumed in-person on the first Tuesday of each month at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1620 S. Stage Coach Lane. The next meeting will be Oct. 5. Friends gather for social time and coffee and goodies at 9:30 a.m. with the meeting starting at 10 a.m. The speaker for this meeting will be Jackie Heyneman. Jackie's many Fallbrook friends think of her fondly as "Mrs. Fallbrook." Her energy, talents and enthusiasm in supporting the community are legendary!
The social time when everyone gathers includes the important opportunity to sign up for some of the many activities they have traditionally enjoyed each month, while also exploring exciting new adventures. The traditional choices of activities include various Games such as Bunco, Hand & Foot, MahJong and Shanghai Rummy, but also Walkabout, Salad Bar Luncheon, Food & Fun, Book Club and Mystery Adventures (which are kept a secret until guests arrive at the destination!).
The very newest activities include Encore Wanderers for those who love to travel, and "GO" which is a one-time event planned by the member/s who conceive of that idea. The very first "Wanderers" trip will be to Tombstone, AZ Nov.19th-23rd. The first "GO" this year will be Wine Tasting Oct. 15 at Toasted Oak Winery, in Fallbrook. The men are welcome and encouraged to attend any of the activities and special events that appeal to them and often do just that. Fun and friendship is the goal!
Encore also hosts special events each year, which are open to members and their guests. The first of these will be the Halloween "Monster Bash" costume-dinner party hosted at the home of a generous member Oct. 30, now wait-list only. That will be followed by the Christmas Luncheon "Jingle all the Way" Dec. 1 at Vista Valley Country Club. This is a popular event so members should "Save the Date" with more details coming soon.
Encore Club's sister organization Newcomers Club has extended a gracious invitation to Encore members to join them for their Dinner Dance "A Vintage Holiday" Dec. 13, to be held at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook Dec. 15. Everyone looks forward to events at the beautiful Grand Tradition, even more special during the Christmas season.
All the activities are listed in the Club Newsletter, including the information and details needed to sign up after the Coffee-Meeting, but also to secure reservations for each of the special events. The community is reminded that new members are always welcome to join the club and the fun.
