NCFPD warns to avoid Horse Creek Ridge near 'Broken and blowing' gas line

NCFPD set up a perimeter around a broken a property with a broken and blowing natural gas line.

A "broken and blowing" natural gas line was reported at 9:10 am in the 35000 block of Brown Galloway Lane in the Horse Creek Ridge area of Fallbrook. North County Fire has crews building a perimeter with gas monitoring equipment creating an evacuation zone. NCFPD PIO Choi advises people to avoid the area. The road is closed at Horse Ranch Creek Road and Andalusian Way, according to NCFPD.

According to Choi, "This is a 2 inch broken and blowing gas line. Residents are sheltering in place. Crews are monitoring the atmosphere for gas readings. Approximate containment time one hour."
