Fallbrook Pop Warner honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Pop Warner's 14U football team is honoring Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October with pink socks. The 14U team is 4 and 2 this season after winning a game against the Murrieta Black Hawks Oct. 16. Most of the athletes on the 14U football team are playing in their final season with Pop Warner before moving up to high school in 2022 .

Playoffs for the 14U team begin the weekend of Oct. 30. Team photographer Laura Cherevchenko said, "It has been so fun and exciting to watch the boys this season. After missing the 2020 season, these kids are fired up and giving it their all."

Head coach Austin Moss said, "The 14U team is a great group of athletes this year. I would also like to thank our team sponsors this season: Fallbrook Veterans of Foreign Wars, North County Building Supplies, Walmart, Albertsons and Motive Energy. Each one of these businesses has either donated money to the team or products needed for team fundraisers. Football is an expensive and time consuming sport so it helps immensely to have businesses support our team."

To follow the team, you can see their game schedule on the FPW website calendar at tshq.bluesombrero.com/fallbrookpw.
