Fallbrook Garden Club decorates pumpkins for the YANA program

FALLBROOK – Members of the Fallbrook Garden Club decorated 39 pumpkins with natural materials, including lots of succulents, for the YANA program on Oct. 27. The FGC Cactus/Succulent Study Group, co-chaired by Ellie Knight and Jeanne Meadow, has organized this workshop for over 10 years.

YANA (You are not Alone) is a San Diego County Sheriff's Department program where volunteers check on seniors and shut-ins throughout the county. The Sheriff's Senior Volunteer Patrol delivered the decorated pumpkins to the homebound seniors in Fallbrook and surrounding communities just in time for Halloween.

The YANA program is one of the many projects FGC is involved with in the community.
