Rotary Club of Bonsall increasing membership

FALLBROOK – Like most service clubs, surviving through COVID-19 has been a challenge. However, the Rotary Club of Bonsall has started to meet again and is thriving as five new members have joined the club in the last couple of months.

Tracy Largent, CPA and finance manager of Rainbow Municipal Water District, and Brian Macmillan, division chief with the North County Fire Protection District, were inducted in the last two months. Then three weeks ago, Rotary's 5340 District Governor inducted an additional three new members including Joseph Clevenger, Superintendent of Bonsall Unified School District; Leslie Salmon, IAYT-certified yoga therapist and owner of North County Yoga Therapy, and Howard Salmon, chairman of the Fallbrook Regional Health District.

Bonsall Rotary President Keith McReynolds has a goal to bring new members into the club that can help with the various projects that are planned. "Rotary is a great opportunity for the community members, leaders and business owners to come together and work as a team to give back to the community in meaningful ways," said McReynolds, who is also the fire chief for NCFPD. "We have a great group of people in our club and we make a difference."

The Rotary Club of Bonsall was chartered in August 1991. Rotary services those in local communities as well as being involved in several international service projects. The club plans to resume the Wine, Brews and Blues Festival in spring 2022 to help raise funds for local nonprofit organizations. Bonsall Rotary meets every Thursday morning at Denny's in Fallbrook (temporary) at 7:30 a.m.
