Supervisors enhance firefighting helicopter resources

Two 5-0 San Diego County Board of Supervisors votes April 26 are expected to improve the county's aerial firefighting ability.
One vote approved the acquisition of a twin-engine helicopter. The other approved motion involves a Memorandum of Understanding with San Diego Gas & Electric for utilization of SDG&E helicopters.
"I'm really excited to see this come forward," said Board of Supervisors chair Nathan Fletcher.
