An afternoon tea and raffle raises spirits and funds

BONSALL – A sold out Elegant Tea Fundraiser hosted by the Bonsall Woman’s Club was held May 11 at the Vista Valley Country Club. Nancy Curtis and Juliann Giurleo were the co-chairs of this successful event.

When the guests arrived, all the tables were decorated with tea sets, handmade centerpieces and specialty items. Bob Freaney, from the Fallbrook Music Society, was playing the piano. Many of the guests wore lovely hats and were stylishly dressed. A large collection of gift baskets for raffle were on display. "It was such a happy time to socialize, meet new friends and enjoy the buffet," said BWS President Mary Jane Poulter.

The highlight of the event was a fashion show displaying Mimi’s Fashions from Fallbrook, coordinated by Miriam Key, Fallbrook’s Honorary Mayor. Some of the models were BWC members.

The proceeds of this event will benefit local charities, schools and scholarships. "Thank you to all the members of the Bonsall Woman’s Club, who worked together as a team to better the community," said Poulter.
