Issa takes early lead in 48th Congressional District

According to early voting results in the June 7 primary election, 48th Congressional District Representative Darrell Issa is poised to retain his seat representing southern Californians in the U.S. House of Representatives.

According to early voting results in the June 7 primary election, 48th Congressional District Representative Darrell Issa is poised to retain his seat representing southern Californians in the U.S. House of Representatives. Issa currently holds 56.5% of the vote compared to his closest challenger Stephen Houlahan who has 31.2% of the vote.

Matthew Rascon (10.6%) and Lucinda Jahn (1.7%) are also vying for the seat.

In the battle for Lt. Governor, incumbent Eleni Kounalakis leads the pack with 1,543,249 votes and compared to her closest challenger Angela Underwood Jacobs who has 495,804, Ko...
