Wildlife meets farm life in Rainbow

Rainbow resident Julie Hulstine reposted a photo story on Facebook, May 13, exactly two years after her original posting, calling it "Too good not to share again."

The photos show a surprise visitor, a deer who had to hop over a 4' fence to get a good look at the resident goats. Hulstine said, "She hung with us for about 15 minutes...She was very curious about our goats!"

Hulstine sat on the ground to take the photos and the deer "just kept coming closer," about 15' from her. Hulstine said her male goat, Rocky, "was the only one brave enough to approach her. It was a precious interaction!"

She also said that at the time they had only lived there for a few years and that was the only time they had the pleasure of a deer visiting their property. It was "such a cool experience. She was so curious about the goats."
