Life-threatening injuries resulted from Monday, June 20 late morning crash

A burgundy Mustang Cobra Roadster lost control in the 1900 block of South Mission Road near Mission Oaks Road, Monday June 20. The car careened off the road, hit two trees, and came to rest at a fence.

North County Fire Protection District closed the road to rescue the occupants. Two adults were in the car. One has life-threatening injuries, the other minor injuries. Both were transported to Palomar Hospital.

Fire crews cleaned up the scene and a tow truck was called in to pull the car out.

The road reopened. California Highway Patrol is investigating.
