Hope Clinic for Women has officially been stacked

FALLBROOK – Founded by Sommer Walker and Kimberly Reath, the mission of The Community Stack is to serve as a liaison between local nonprofits and the donors and vendors who can support them.

The Community Stack's first act of charity was to aid Hope Clinic for Women in their desperate need to find baby formula. As the national crisis grew, clients of Hope Clinic found themselves in dire need. The Community Stack founders searched diligently online and, using funds generated from monthly dues paid by them and their wonderful board of directors, they were able to provide Hope Clinic and their clients with 20 cans of Enfamil powder formula and two cases of Similac liquid formula. To say that Hope Clinic and their clients were grateful is an understatement, Reath said.

The Community Stack is a charity for charities, incorporated as 501(c)(3) in February 2022.

The idea for The Community Stack came when, in January 2022, the Fallbrook Animal Sanctuary posted an urgent call for blankets for not only the animals of the sanctuary but also the animals of their sister sanctuary in Rosarito, Mexico. Walker, Reath and Joan Eberle set out on a Saturday morning to find as many blankets as could be found in Fallbrook.

It only took one stop at Do Gooders to round up over 50 blankets. Upon learning of the purpose of the blanket haul, Dawn Volk, owner of Do Gooders said, "take them as a donation from us." We took the blankets to FAS and stacked them in three stacks, 10 feet tall. When the volunteers of FAS came out and saw them, they immediately responded "we've been stacked." The Community Stack was born.

The Community Stack is soliciting donations to allow them to continue to support Fallbrook and Bonsall nonprofits; 100% of all donations goes to local nonprofits for either products or services identified as critical needs. Donations may be made in the name of a specific nonprofit with the guarantee that the funds will be used as dictated by the donor.

The Community Stack will hold its first fundraiser this fall which will include several Fallbrook nonprofits that will inform and educate attendees on their programs and services.
