New team member joins Legacy Endowment

FALLBROOK – Angela Calderon recently joined Legacy Endowment Community Foundation's team as its new Associate Director/Programs Officer.

"You'll be seeing more and more of Angela in the coming year," said executive director Jean Larsen. "She will be attending various community events to learn all she can about the area, as well as gathering data about the many nonprofits in the region, who are supporting vitally important needs."

Calderon follows in the footsteps of Jan Pichel, who retired earlier this year, and who represented Legacy for almost a decade. Calderon will be utilizing her experience obtained from prior positions to improve systems management, client relations, and bring best practices to business development, a spokesperson said.

Her experience in lending, real estate, and retail growth strategies, coupled with various other strong competencies, will greatly support Legacy's goals in developing streamlined procedures, heightened client relations, and operate with even greater efficiency, the spokesperson said.

Rachel Mason, Legacy's board president, was part of Calderon's recruitment process and said, "Not only is Angela bringing a higher degree of education and expertise to the table for our client and nonprofit relationships, but she also is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration. When combining all of this with Jean Larsen's 35 years of nonprofit management, this duo is an impressive asset to building Legacy's client trust and organizational growth."

"I've been blessed with a family that understands the importance of philanthropy in making a difference for others," Calderon said. "My mother, Robbie Hass, has been a great role model and she's an excellent benchmark for me as I make my own mark through my work at Legacy Endowment Community Foundation."

Founded in 1994, Legacy Endowment Community Foundation is 100-percent dedicated to representing the interests of its donors. Its donor-centric stewardship responsibilities focus on donors having a safe and productive investment haven for making charitable contributions to their favorite charities, even during challenging times, a spokesperson said.
