The Gallery's add-on art show features abstract art

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Art Association has several upcoming events at their new Gallery facility located at 300 N. Brandon Road. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. General meetings are held at the Fallbrook Woman’s Club, 238 W. Mission Road. the third Saturday of the month.

The FAA has a new art show every month at The Gallery with added theme shows along with their general art shows which are open to all members and guest artists. Entry forms and descriptions of the monthly shows can be found on their website along with a calendar of upcoming events at

The FAA also has visiting artist demonstrations most months of the year, except July and August. Come to The Gallery for this month’s art show and this month’s add-on show with cash prizes, “Abstract Art.” All shows are judged by visiting artists.

The FAA has decided to sponsor a fundraiser with an upcoming art show in support of the millions of refugees displaced by the war in Ukraine. Inspired by the very successful Escondido Art Association’s “Sunflowers for Ukraine” show, where 40 plus sunflower paintings were donated by various artists with all proceeds going to World Central Kitchen, the international hunger relief organization working in Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Hungary feeding refugees of the war.

The FAA’s version of “Sunflowers for Ukraine Show” will be held at The Gallery, from Sept. 21 to Oct. 17 and is open to any artist to submit sunflower art as a donation for the fund. Take-in for the donated art is Sept. 19. FAA is hoping to generate a substantial donation with many artists adding to this collective effort to reach out and support the people of Ukraine. Monetary donations will be accepted for this event as well so donors don’t have to be an artist to contribute.
