FLC offers volunteer work events

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Land Conservancy has some volunteer opportunities for residents to participate in. The group is also asking for donated items for its Stagecoach Sunday auction. Those can include gift certificates, travel opportunities, items to fill themed baskets, art, wine and spirits. Volunteers are also needed to help plan and work at Stagecoach Sunday on Oct. 2.

A few of their regular volunteer events are paused during the hottest part of the year, but they can still use help at the ones listed below. Volunteers can just show up with work gloves, water, and sun protection and will be shown what to do.

Tuesdays, Aug. 9, 16, 23, 30 – 10 a.m. – Sculpture Garden volunteers work at Palomares House and Park

Wednesdays, Aug. 10, 17, 24, 31 – 8:30 a.m. – Native Plant Restoration Team meets at Los Jilgueros Preserve

Sunday, Aug. 14 – 8 a.m. – Save Our Forest Old Highway 395 cleanup across 395 from Pala Mesa Resort

Saturday, Aug. 20 – 8:30 am – Trails Committee meets at the Palomares House and travels to a preserve

There will not be a Monserate Mountain Preserve event Saturday, Aug. 6 and no Save Our Forest work parties in August either.

Anyone who would like to help but can’t make it to any of these events can volunteer independently or with their own group. They just need to let FLC know and they can find a volunteer opportunity that works, by emailing [email protected] or call the office with any questions at 760-728-0889.
