Pala Casino presents Marshall Tucker Band Sept. 10 and Martina McBride Sept. 11

PALA – Pala Casino Spa Resort presents the Marshall Tucker Band 50th Anniversary Tour Saturday, Sept. 10, performing live outdoors at the Starlight Theater. The band’s mighty music catalog, consisting of more than 20 studio albums and a score of live releases, has racked up multi-platinum album sales many times over. Some of the band’s top hits include “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Can’t You See,” “Fire on the Mountain,” “Long Hard Ride,” and “Ramblin,” to name but a few.

The Marshall Tucker Band’s influence can be felt far and wide through many respected contemporaries and the artists who’ve followed the path forged by their collective footsteps. The Marshall Tucker Band helped to originate and personify what was to become known as Southern rock. They were the first truly progressive Southern band to grace this nation’s airwaves.

Doug Gray, the lead vocalist, sees no end to the road that lies ahead for The Marshall Tucker Band, whose legacy is being carried forward by himself and his current bandmates, drummer B.B. Borden, bassist/vocalist Ryan Ware, keyboardist/saxophonist/flutist/vocalist Marcus James Henderson, guitarist/vocalist Chris Hicks, and guitarist/ vocalist Rick Willis.

The show will start at 8 p.m. Reserved tickets are $35 and general admission tickets are $20.
