Alumni fill up Live Oak Park

FALLBROOK – Nearly 300 “Forever Warriors” met at Live Oak Park for the Annual Fallbrook Alumni Picnic in the Park. At 11 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 16, class members of 1948 through 2009 came from “Sea to Shining Sea” to celebrate with each other and reminisce about their school days at Fallbrook High School.

Traditionally held on the third Sunday in October since its inception in 2006, the picnic proved to exceed all expectations, offering a tri-tip lunch prepared and served by Fallbrook High’s FFA students, and a surprise visit from the Warrior Cheer Squad, who led the crowd in some favorite Warrior cheers.

In addition, Miss Fallbrook and her Court played a huge role as they strolled through the grounds offering raffle tickets for sale and greeting alumni. A table full of beautifully presented prizes, donated by alumni and local merchants, proved to be irresistible to enthusiastic ticket buyers.

As the afternoon grew to an end, those in attendance said their “good-byes” and headed home, hoping to see one another again, perhaps next year on the third Sunday in October.

It is to be noted that the Alumni Picnic is not intended to be a fundraiser. Rather it is meant to thank the members and friends of the Fallbrook Alumni Association for their support in giving back to their alma mater.

The association encourages classmates whose graduating year ends in 03 or 08 to reach out in regard to their upcoming reunions in 2023 by contacting the Fallbrook Alumni Association, P.O. Box 596, Fallbrook 92088 or [email protected].
