Car club donation helps community center programs

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club (FVCC) recently made a donation to the Friends of the Fallbrook Community Center (FFCC). Virtually every dollar received by the Friends goes directly to their mission of helping the community through the Fallbrook Community Center.

In partnership with the County of San Diego, which owns the Fallbrook Community Center, FFCC assists in underwriting community center programs to keep them affordable for the community at large, and in particular affordable or free for those who are economically disadvantaged, according to Ann Wade, President of FFCC and Nancy Santillan, County Recreation Program Coordinator.

FFCC is looking for volunteer board members to keep this mission moving forward. For information, come down to the community center or call 760-728-1671.

The FVCC uses proceeds from its annual Car Show to support local groups and programs such as schools, senior community outreach programs, sports programs, military families, and other worthy local causes that work to keep their community thriving.

FVCC also has a scholarship program for seniors at Fallbrook High which donates funds to selected individuals by semester as they progress to their selected post-high school education.

All donations are made possible by proceeds from the Annual Memorial Day Weekend Car Show. To apply for a donation for a Fallbrook nonprofit group, go to http://www.fallbrookvintagecarclub.org and submit an application that can be found under "Download a Donation Request."
