'Ye Ol' Christmas Village' event benefits the whole community

BONSALL – The Bonsall Woman’s Club welcomed members and their guests to the 30th annual Christmas event on Dec. 7 at the Golf Club of California. What began as a tree trimming activity at the Fallbrook Boys and Girls Club all those years ago has developed into a much anticipated holiday activity for many to enjoy.

The afternoon included a luncheon and holiday entertainment by the talented Sullivan Middle School Show Choir. Silent auction items were bid on, themed Christmas trees and gift baskets were raffled and creative crafts made by members were purchased. Door prizes were also given to lucky recipients.

The club truly appreciates the generosity of the attendees to assist in their mission to provide support to many local organizations in the community. The club provides enrichment and services to local youth, seniors, military families, animal welfare agencies, the arts and more.

The club also values the corporate and professional sponsors who made the event so successful. The club members all supported the event by working on committees, setting tables with holiday dinnerware and centerpieces, arranging for donations, creating crafts and decorating trees.

Bonsall Woman’s Club meets the first Friday of every month at the Bonsall Community Center from 10 a.m. to noon. New members are always welcome. For more information and to see additional photos of the luncheon or club activities, go to http://www.bonsallwomansclub.org.
