Grief workshop for people who recently lost a loved one

Free Educational Program Offered by The Elizabeth Hospice

FALLBROOK – The Elizabeth Hospice is offering “Introduction to Grief and Loss,” a four-week workshop for people in the community who have experienced the loss of a loved one in the past year.

Sessions will take place every Tuesday from April 4 through April 25 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. via Zoom. There is no cost to attend. Participants are expected to attend all four sessions. Space is limited and registration is required. RSVP by March 28 to [email protected] or 833-349-2054.

“One of life’s greatest challenges is coping with the death of someone you love. Adjusting to the fact that you will never again spend time with your loved one takes time and can be painful, said Michelle Brown, licensed marriage and family therapist with The Elizabeth Hospice. “Our new workshop is designed to educate people about grief and loss, help them gain an understanding of different grieving styles, and learn coping skills and self-care methods.”

This new educational program will be offered every month. For information on dates and times for future sessions, call 833-349-2054.

The Elizabeth Hospice makes it easy for people to find the resources they need by providing various grief counseling and support group options available at multiple locations across San Diego and Southwest Riverside Counties.

Counseling services are available for individuals, couples, families and children, including those who do not have a hospice affiliation. More information about grief counseling, support groups and workshops can be found at https://elizabethhospice.org/.
