Mindful BODYs - Oceanside Addiction Treatment Center ready to help the community

OCEANSIDE – Nearly 300,000 people in San Diego County have a substance abuse problem. The use of fentanyl has become rampant and approximately 84% of opioid-related overdose deaths in California were related to fentanyl. It is estimated that only 1 in 10 people facing addiction seek help for recovery.

That means that of the 20.8 million people who meet the criteria for a substance abuse disorder (according to the National Survey on Drug Use and Health), only 2.2 million received treatment of any type.

Asking for help and finding the resources for help is a personal decision and choice. For some, they have a support system to encourage them and have insurance to assist the process. For others, their current life circumstances make seeking help feel hopeless and unattainable. There is always help available.

An incredible resource is available for recovery treatment right here in North County San Diego. Under new ownership, Mindful BODY’s (Behavioral Outpatient Discovering Your Self) in Oceanside, is an outpatient substance abuse treatment center that is committed to providing holistic treatment to those seeking physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

Understanding that there is not a one size fits all approach to treatment, Mindful BODY’s aims to help one person at a time using compassion, experience, and personalization to each individual ready to change their life.

Mindful BODY’s will be having a grand re-opening on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to show residents of the community all it has to offer. The fitness studio next to it, Every BODY’s Fit which offers one-on-one and small group exercise, will also be having its grand re-opening at its new location. They are located at 721 and 717 Pier View Way in Oceanside.

Every BODY is invited. For more information, visit,, and

The programs at Mindful BODY’s offer an alcohol and drug-free treatment environment with an array of levels of care from PHP, IOP and OP Day treatment for men and women over the age of 18 years old.

Those who are suffering from life threatening chemical dependency, mental illness and emotional issues are welcome. Mindful will develop a comprehensive treatment program for each individual that reflects their growing involvement with their sobriety, work, education, relationships and post-treatment living arrangements.

There is a population in North County that needs places like Mindful BODY’s and the more people can spread information about help, the more people who are likely to seek help when they need it.
