Preliminary results show over 100,000 pounds of litter and debris removed

SAN DIEGO COUNTY – More than 3,000 San Diegans joined I Love A Clean San Diego and spread out at 100 cleanup sites for the 40th annual Coastal Cleanup Day, Sept. 21.

Volunteers across the region restored, beautified, and preserved the health of over 100 local parks, canyons, creeks, and beaches and joined volunteers in 150 countries across the globe that were also participating in Coastal Cleanup Day.
