Asbestos exposure may concern California veterans even today

The U.S. armed forces overly used asbestos-containing products throughout the last century in their WWII effort. Producing military equipment in large amounts demanded accessible materials, and asbestos was abundant in the markets, making it the material of choice for the military industry.
