La Caseta celebrating 25th anniversary

FALLBROOK — When Delos W. Eyer and his family bought La Caseta from the original owner, Marc Chaisson, in July 1991, Delos’ son Erik was 9 months old. Now, Erik, a junior at Fallbrook High School, and Delos’ other son Axel, a sophomore, work part-time at La Caseta.

The building in which the restaurant is located, on the corner of Vine and Alvarado, can be traced back to 1919. La Caseta means “the small house” and has always been a family business. “Mom” Jeanne Eyer worked there as an assistant general manager for 13 years and “Dad” Delos Eyer Sr. did accounting and genera...
