Sponsors, volunteers needed for Christmas Parade

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook’s Christmas spirit is alive and well, judging from the number of entries received at the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce office so far. On pace for a typical 100-plus entry field, the 27th Annual Fallbrook Christmas Parade is coming together once again for a fun-filled, entertaining night on December 6.

Few citizens are aware of the costs involved to put forth such a large event, given there are no entry fees for the participants. Many services and supply items must be purchased so the evening is enjoyable for spectators, entrants and volunteers. Neighboring communities have struggled with the annual costs of these wonderful events.

It is important to keep the parade a “community gift” and the Chamber is grateful for those who have stepped up with their donations so far. Major sponsors include Arlyne Ingold, Major Market, Creature Comforts and Al and Annette (anonymous donors).

Sponsorship levels are as low as $50 to help contribute to Fallbrook’s Christmas spirit. To receive a copy of the Sponsorship Application form, visit http://www.fallbrookchamber.com (click on “Christmas Parade), stop in at the Chamber office or call “Elf” Kathie at (760) 728-5845.

Volunteers are also being sought for the night of the parade. Help is needed in the staging area overseeing the lineups and supervising their travel down Main Avenue, as well as in the disembarkation area at Main and Ivy.

To help in the staging or disembarkation areas, call the Chamber at (760) 728-5845.
