Zion students do well in spelling bee

Buddies Justice and Matthew came in first and second place, respectively, for all fifth-graders. They were neck and neck during the final minutes of the spelling bee.
Everyone knows how hard is it to spell correctly on a normal day without hundreds of pairs of eyes watching. So, one can imagine how stressful it was for the students who competed at the San Diego County Lutheran Schools Spelling Bee on February 27.
Winners from Zion Lutheran School were Julia Wilson, fifth place; Sammie Dotts, third place; Matthew Norwood, second place; and Justice Rodgers, first place.
