Pumpkin carving contest Oct. 25

FALLBROOK — On Sunday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Village Square at the corner of Main and Alvarado, the Fallbrook Farmers Market will hold a pumpkin carving contest.

Three categories will be offered: children (ages 8-12), teens (13-17) and families. Space is limited in each category.

Participants will be given specific times to carve their pumpkins. A winner will be chosen in each category and awarded a prize.

Registration must be done in advance and will be offered this Saturday, October 18, at the Farmers Market. Participants must provide name, e-mail address, city and zip code. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Pumpkins will be provided by Major Market and the Farmers Market will furnish carving tools.
