Kudos to Fallbrook Art Association (FAA)

For the second time in my young art career, I recently entered paintings in a juried art show; this time it was in a town other than Fallbrook. Having had this second experience, I realized and appreciated the organization and care taken by the FAA for their November art show in which I participated.

The out-of-town art show was an unsatisfying experience in that the art pieces were handled carelessly and the rules were unclear. In contrast, under the direction of artist Bill Riedell and photographer Jon Harwood, FAA art show co-chairs, the FAA is a system that works. Entry day is done with precision by a number of diligent FAA volunteers.

The artist is esteemed and the artwork is carefully handled; each artist is directed through the submission process. The art work is quickly hung for the impending judging, and also to prevent damage.

No amount of recognition would be complete without acknowledging the cooperation of the Fallbrook Art Center. As the FAA and Fallbrook Center for the Arts Group work together, Fallbrook will indeed become the premier art destination for San Diego County.
