CTRA grant makes a difference in the classroom

RAINBOW – With grant money awarded by California Retired Teachers’ Association (CTRA), Fallbrook Division 81, fifth grade teacher Cheri Jeralds purchased white boards, erasable markers and erasers for every student in her class at Vallecitos Elementary School.

Jeralds said, “With everyone having access to a whiteboard, students are engaged in drill and practice in math, word problems, spelling grammar and science. Using whiteboards saves paper and time. Students love to write on the boards which can be quickly erased, thereby maintaining a fast pace, keeping students focused.”
