Wildlife Art Show coming May 3-4

FALLBROOK — The 15th Annual Wildlife Art Show, “Reflections of Nature,” will be held May 3-4 this year at the Art Center at Fallbrook.

Over the years, the show has continued to grow in popularity, with the first weekend in May widely recognized as ‘Wildlife Art time’ in Fallbrook.

Visitors can enjoy sculptures at the Village Square (corner of Main and Alvarado) and two-dimensional works inside the Janice Griffiths Gallery at the Art Center.

Nature’s diversity is evident in the art presented by artists from across the country working in a broad range of mediums and disciplines, including plein air, to portray the world’s wildlife and the landscapes that sustain them.

While many of the artists have been with the show since its inception, the 2008 show welcomes many others for the first time.

Several sculptors will be bringing garden-scale works.

A private reception for show sponsors and artists is planned for Friday, May 2, beginning at 6 p.m. For more information, contact Mary Perhacs at (760) 728-1414.

Show hours will be Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Art Center is located at 103 South Main Avenue.
