Faith does matter!

I have been a longtime reader of the Village News but have never stirred my stumps before this to write to you.

I have always enjoyed the solid professional manner that you manage to present the local concerns to us and the local color that brightens the periphery of your paper.

I enjoy being a small community resident, here in the Fallbrook/Bonsall area since 1993, and the personalized local touch of your newspaper is icing on that cake.

One of your features that I find most uplifting these days is the Faith Matters column by Marcy Burge. While my church attendance is rather spotty, my faith is solid, and I always feel a boost when I finish with her message. For myself, the ‘lay’ view of spiritual matters always feels more relevant to my human condition, and Marcy has a steady hand in presenting solid words. Her column in your August 28 issue [“Destination paradise”] I found to be especially apropos.

Thanks again for continuing such a fine journalistic service to our community.
