Walter Myers, 86, passed away September 11, 2008. He was born September 21, 1921, to Ethel (née Cailey) and Walter Alexander Myers in Paxton, IL. As a young child, after his father’s untimely death, he moved to Flint, MI. Walt graduated from Flint Central High School and attended Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Walt also worked for General Motors in Flint. While employed at GM, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in March of 1943. He served as a flight instructor until the end of WWII and was discharged as a 1st Lieutenant in October...
