If Proposition 2 passes this November, over the next five years we are going to see eggs from other states and Mexico imported into California.

Not only is the cost of eggs going to go up, making them less affordable to low-income Californians, but our consumers are going to be purchasing imported eggs that are not produced under California’s stringent standards. This proposition does not place restrictions on how imported eggs are produced outside of the state.

If Prop. 2 passes, California’s many egg producers will be going out of business and their employees will be out of work. Ca...
