The most important job in the world

I need to hire someone for the most important job in the world: to be in charge of the greatest country in the world.

I am going to look at qualifications, experience, education and track record. If they are willing to die for this country, that’s an honorable plus. I don’t care which party, religion, race or gender they are and I don’t place much value on who they have hung around with, though having a mentor/priest for guidance for 20-some years is a plus, be it small.

The political finger-pointing is boring me. These candidates should be bigger than that. You should realize that every president made promises they couldn’t keep. They have to be approved by Congress. It really is not a case of one man determining all.

What amazes me is that we have a Democratic majority in Congress, yet everyone is blaming the Republicans for the economy, the war and even unemployment.

Back to the hiring issue: With just two years experience in the Senate, one’s experience is like that of a sophomore. Would you take a sophomore in high school and hire him to be principal of the most technologically advanced school in the world? That would be like voting Sara Palin to be president. Where is the experience? I would vote for Joe Biden for president, but he doesn’t want the job.

I will hire the old man who has been around the block a few times, a proven leader with honor and honesty.
