FALLBROOK — Live Oak Elementary held its spectacular first Fall Festival Wednesday, October 29. The parents and staff worked for more than three weeks gathering donations for the raffle baskets and prizes for all the students.
It was old-fashioned fun with a prize walk/cake walk, wheel of fortune, bean bag toss, pumpkin bowling, face painting and costume contest. The highlight of the night was the “sliming” of the teachers and the principal; students bought raffle tickets to participate in the sliming event.
All monies earned from the event will go toward field trips and assemblies for this school year. Local businesses supported the event with donations, helping to make the event successful.
“We couldn’t have done this without the parent and community support. We already are making plans on what we will do next year – minus the sliming,” said Principal Lily Perez.
