Longtime Fallbrook resident Margaret “Peggy” Rea passed away Friday, October 3, 2008, in her home in Chandler, AZ, after an intense battle with skin cancer. She was 80 years old.

Born Margaret Ann Hanson in Los Angeles on August 5, 1928, Peggy, as she was known to her family and friends, lived her childhood and early adult life in Hermosa Beach, CA, with her husband Thomas G. Rea and their eight children. The family moved to Fallbrook in 1970 and Peggy became very active in the community.
