Bardeen named Rotarian of Year

FALLBROOK — Peter Bardeen has been named the 2008 Rotarian of the Year by the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club.

Bardeen, 49, was awarded the honor in recognition of his outstanding leadership as chairman of the inaugural Village Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club.

The proceeds from the golf tournament funded donations to various local organizations and charities, including Fallbrook Student of the Month, Rally for Children, a Kenya Water Project, USMC Wounded Warriors, Fallbrook Land Conservancy and many others.

Bardeen has been a valued member of the Fallbrook Village Rotary Club for more than 20 years, during which time he has served as president (1994-1995) and in several Board of Directors capacities.

He is the longtime owner of the Bardeen Insurance Agency, a Farmers Insurance Group affiliate.

Bardeen has resided in Fallbrook since 1987 with his wife Laurel and three children, Brock, Kristin and Jason, all outstanding graduates of Fallbrook High School.
