Taylors celebrate 65th wedding anniversary

LeRoy (Lee) Taylor and his wife, Barbara, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on September 12, 2008.

The couple was married on September 12, 1943, in Morris Chapel on the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, where Barbara was a student.

Lee was serving as a lieutenant in the US Navy at the time and later worked as a mechanical engineer for 30 years at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo, CA.

A graduate of the California Maritime Academy, Lee holds a BA degree in mechanical engineering and recently attended his 65th CMA class reunion. He is also a Life-Member of the Vallejo Yacht...
