Warrior cheerleaders excel in competition

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook High School Warrior cheerleaders have had an extremely busy season. In addition to cheering at football and basketball games, they have also participated in several competitions. These competitions have included the SoCal Winter Classic, North County Elite Allstars Competition, USA Regional Championship and CA Allstars Competition.

The most recent competition was last weekend when a mixed team of JV and varsity cheerleaders took second place in an MTV.com promotional event for the movie “Fired Up!” The JV and varsity teams both came home with a first place from the SoCal Winter Classic and freshmen took first in the NCE Allstars in the Freshman Show Cheer Division.

The varsity and JV teams competed at the USA Regional Championships, where the JV team’s score qualified them for the USA National Championship in Anaheim. The varsity co-ed team placed second in the Co-ed Show Cheer Division.

Some of the upcoming events in which the FHS cheerleaders are looking forward to competing are the Cheer Pros Inland Empire Championships March 7 at Lake Elsinore High School and the NCA US Championships March 28 at Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park.

The FHS cheerleaders would love for the community to come and cheer them on at their upcoming competitions and at Warrior basketball games.
