Prom dreams

Fallbrook High School has always had a brilliant junior/senior prom and our school has a unique program which gives underprivileged students a chance to go too. For the past several years, the high school has been able to raise plenty of money and has collected shoes, ties, suits, purses and dresses which are free of charge to those who cannot afford to purchase their own.

Last year, tickets were given to those who lost their homes in the wildfires or who were affected by other events. This year, with the economy struggling, there are many kids at our school who are having financial issues and extracurriculars are the first activities to be cut.

The high school would hate to restrict students from going to one of the events which many look forward to during their high school career. The prom costs approximately $120 for a couple, not including the price of attire.

The prom committee is looking forward to a night which will be remembered for a lifetime aboard the Hornblower Inspiration. The prom will take place May 2 but tickets will go on sale March 27.

The prom committee needs your support in making this prom dream a success. If you are interested in donating funds which will go directly to those who are having financial struggles or you have any attire which our students can wear to prom, please contact me at [email protected] or (760) 525-9767.
