Jessie Ruth Abbott, 84, died at Life Care Center Escondido on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, after a long illness. She was born in Ponder, TX, in 1924 and was a child of the “Great Depression.”

She was the wife of a WWII veteran. She was a resident of Fallbrook for 68 years and a member of the Fallbrook United Methodist Church since 1959. In past years she worked at the Fallbrook Citrus Association and was a member of the Fallbrook Gem & Mineral Society.

Besides being a mother and wife, Jessie loved singing, listening to country music, teaching Sunday school, camping, fishing and sports. S...
