Vietnam vet to read at Fallbrook's Writers Read

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook’s Writers Read, a monthly gathering of writers and readers, will present author and poet Terry Hertzler on April 8 at 6 p.m.

A Vietnam veteran, Hertzler is the author of “The Way of the Snake,” a book of poetry on the Vietnam War, “Second Skin: Stories and Poems” and several other books of poetry and fiction.

Hertzler’s reading will be followed by a question and answer session with the author and then open microphone for poetry and prose.

Hertzler’s writing has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize and his poetry and short stories have appeared in numerous publications.

Writers Read is hosted by the Café des Artistes, 103 South Main Avenue. The café opens at 5:30 p.m.

Save the date: the Writers Read featured author for May 13 is bestselling crime novelist T. Jefferson Parker.
