Camera Club to meet Oct. 19

FALLBROOK — The October 19 meeting of the Fallbrook Camera Club will feature photographer Mike Wilson, who will be demonstrating how to get the most from a digital single lens reflex camera.

Wilson will explain exposure metering and the advantages and disadvantages of matrix, center-weighted and spot metering. He will review histograms, what they are and how to use them to get better exposures.

He will discuss the various program modes and explain when to use auto (program, aperture priority, shutter priority) and manual modes of exposure metering.

Wilson requests everyone to bring their cameras to follow along. He advises everyone read his or her user manual before and after in order to get the most out of the session.

Meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. at Silvergate Retirement Residence, 420 Elbrook Drive. Call program director Jean Harsha at (760) 728-7863 for more information.
