A wonderful kindness

Recently some friends and I visited a local restaurant only to be given a pleasant reminder of just how special this community of Fallbrook really is.

When we asked our waiter for the bill, he informed us that the gentleman behind him insisted on paying for it in full. Absolutely shocked, we looked over to find a man with his family.

He confirmed the belief that he thought we were teachers due to the spirit wear we adorned and said he works with teachers every day and had to pay for our dinner.

We were finishing a week of parent conferences and a night at our school Fall Festival. Needless to say, it was a late evening for us.

In all the years that I’ve been teaching, I’ve never been given such recognition. I just want this person to know that his kindness has been greatly appreciated and will be passed on to someone in return.
